• The maintenance and renewal audit of Mercantil Banco Universal concluded with zero non-conformities. FONDONORMA's audit team ascertained that nine ISO 9001:2008 certified lines of service comply with the standard's requirements. The audit was carried out on five lines: Mercantil Call Center customer service, Cashier desks, ATM network, Corporate client securities and Social benefit trust fund, and renewal audits on 4 lines: Mercantil Online, Credit cards, Home delivery of checkbooks and Préstame instant loans.


• According to the ranking by Alexa, the company that evaluates the number of website hits worldwide, Mercantil Banco Universal's is sixteenth in the ranking of Venezuela's websites and number one in the ranking for the Venezuelan financial sector.


• In a survey conducted in July 2011, The Banker magazine rated
  
  Mercantil Servicios Financieros as the first Venezuelan institution in its ranking of the Top 1000 World Banks. Compared to 2010, it climbed 41 to number 250 in worldwide terms.
  
  
• Global Finance magazine in its issue of July 2011, selected to Mercantil Banco as the "Best Trade Supplier of Venezuela". Additional, it located in the position 192 in the ranking of the 200 biggest banks on emergent markets
  
  
• In April 2011 Mercantil Servicios Financieros is still on the list of the leading 2000 companies in the world published by the prestigious Forbes Magazine, based on its evaluation that takes into account income, profitability, asset growth and market capitalization. In 2011 Mercantil Servicios Financieros ranked at number 1,426 on the list.
  
  
• According to the sixth survey conducted by the Great Place to Work® Institute Venezuela, Mercantil Banco and Mercantil Seguros ranked among the 15 Best Companies to Work for in Venezuela. Mercantil Banco is the only financial institution to receive this recognition for the sixth year running and comes 13th in the ranking. Mercantil Seguros achieved this distinction for the fourth time and is the only one in the insurance sector, ranking 12th.

• Latin Finance magazine awarded Mercantil Banco Universal its prize for Best Bank in Venezuela in 2010. The November edition of the magazine pointed out that Mercantil Banco Universal is striving hard to make its services available to the broader population through Mercantil’s Ally, in addition Mercantil Banco Universal is the first bank to incorporate chip technology in its ATMs and credit and debit cards.


• In a study conducted in July 2010, The Banker magazine rated Mercantil Servicios Financieros as the first Venezuelan institution in its ranking of the Top 1000 World Banks. Mercantil Banco ranked number 291 in the survey and is the tenth leading financial services companies in Latin America.
  
  
• Global Finance magazine in its issue of July 2010, selected to Mercantil Banco as the "Best Trade Supplier of Venezuela". Additional, it it located in the position 192 in the ranking of the 200 biggest banks on emergent markets and recognized it as the "Best Internet Bank for Segment People" in Venezuela
  
  
• In April 2010 Mercantil Servicios Financieros (MERCANTIL) was selected among the top 2000 leading companies in the world by the prestigious Forbes Magazine. MERCANTIL came in at number 1,297 being the only Venezuelan institution from the financial sector moving forward 36 positions since 2009.
  
  
• For the second year running Mercantil Commercebank received in April 2010 the Top 100 Minority Business Award ® awarded by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (GMCC). This year the bank was recognized in the Community Involvement category. In 2009 the Bank received the prize in the Employee Initiative category.

• In its December 2009 edition, The Banker chose Mercantil Banco Universal as the “Best Bank in Venezuela” in 2009 thanks to its outstanding financial performance. The magazine emphasized the high profit yield maintained by Mercantil Banco Universal, characterized by its sound organizational structure, optimum risk management and adequate level of capitalization.
  
  
• In December 2009 the publication American Banker reported its ranking of foreign companies according to the size of their banks’ assets in the United States, positioning Mercantil Servicios Financieros as number 17, ranked in accordance with the size of the assets of its US subsidiary, Mercantil Commercebank Holding Corp. This position makes Mercantil the first Latin American company in the ranking and the only Venezuelan company among the 51 companies with banks in the United States.
  
  
• In its July 2009 issue, according to a survey made by Dinero magazine on the brands that executives prefer, Mercantil was rated as the first bank of choice to handle their main accounts, and Mercantil Seguros was rated as the second insurance company they prefer to do business with. The survey was conducted among 289 executives from different professions in Venezuela’s main cities.
  
  
• In its July 2009 issue Global Finance selected Mercantil Banco Universal as the “Best Consumer Internet Bank” in the individuals category in Venezuela. In its February 2009 issue, Global Finance selected Mercantil Banco Universal as The Best Trade Finance Provider-2009”. Criteria for choosing the winner includes transaction volume, market share, scope of global coverage, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative technologies.
  
  
• In April 2009 Mercantil Servicios Financieros (MERCANTIL) was selected among the top 2000 leading companies in the world by the prestigious Forbes Magazine. MERCANTIL came in at number 1,333 being the only Venezuelan institution from the financial sector moving forward 134 positions since 2008.
  
  
• In March 2009, the Great Place to Work Institute recognized Mercantil Banco Universal for the fourth time running as one of the best places to work in Venezuela. Mercantil Banco Universal is the only financial institution to receive this award for the fourth year running and ranked 12th on the list of companies recognized in 2008. Mercantil Seguros was also acknowledged in the survey for the second time running, ranking 16th. It is also the only company in the insurance sector to be included in the ranking.


• In March 2009, Mercantil Commercebank won the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s “Top 100 Minority Business Award”. The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce awards these prizes in recognition of the achievements of minority businesses in South Florida. Of the 100 companies that classified as finalists, ten of them received prizes in a variety of categories. Mercantil Commercebank won in the "Employee Workplace Initiatives” category.
